Discounted Registration to the Region’s Premier Education and Trade Show: GCC is a partner organization to ProGreen, the largest green trade show in Colorado. Not only do members receive discounted registration, but they also receive access to top quality speakers and educational content, the opportunity to network with suppliers and vendors, and the ability to participate in the programming and content formation of the show. 

Discounts with GCC Supplier Members: Supplier members of GCC are given the opportunity to create discounted product programs to GCC members on specific garden suppliers sold to the gardening public. For example, Organix Supply has had a long-standing program with GCC and its members for many years. GCC member dealers are offered the ability to carry products under the Earth Essentials and Nature’s Yield labels that are exclusive to GCC members. Another discounted program for GCC members is through BFG Supply (formerly Gard’N Wise) where GCC members receive 5% discount off Grower Select and Gardener Select orders placed on the show program.

Education and Networking Opportunities Exclusive to GCC: Throughout the year, GCC will host both online and in-person educational days with a focus on business operations, plant education, and staff training. During these events, networking time (such as breakfast, lunch or reception) will be offered to allow for members to enjoy fellowship with colleagues and seek advice from other business owners and managers. Previous events have focused on marketing, website design, plant tips and water education, COVID-19 resources, and changing business operations. 

Giving Back to the Industry and Association: As a garden center or associate member of GCC, your membership affords you one vote on membership related items at annual meetings. In addition, your membership allows you to serve on Committees and run for a Board of Directors seat. These high-profile volunteer positions allow you the opportunity to give back to your industry, support the association, and network with other business leaders in the industry to build a strong independent garden center base in Colorado. 

Your voice is heard on Capitol Hill: As a member of GreenCO, GCC helps coordinate grass roots lobbying efforts to protect all segments of the green industry in Colorado. Speaking on behalf of our members, GreenCO has the power to influence decisions being made in both the State and Federal legislature. Drought restrictions, labor regulations, pesticide requirements and other legislative changes impacting the operations of your business are all issues carefully monitored by the GreenCO lobbyists on behalf of GCC members.

GCC Library of Marketing Content to Use Your Own Company Logo: Through GCC’s marketing and communications efforts, member companies have access to GCC’s library of content containing professionally written articles and photographs that can be edited with your own company name and logo. This exclusive benefit to GCC members can be used in newsletters, blogs and social media promotions. 

Website Promotion of Members: The newly redesigned GCC website is the online resource for gardening customers to access regionally relevant gardening related content and review a list of garden centers in the state. As a member of GCC, you have the option to enhance your company listing with a detailed paragraph, photographs, and online store link. In addition, GCC website has the option to highlight member companies on a rotating basis with a detailed description and photograph. All of these extra features are free of charge and available only to GCC garden center members.
